Batman: Arkham city further delays – even longer wait for those famous forearms

News of even longer delays than expected reached the desks of Rebel Gaming this afternoon. The long awaited sequel of the just biblicly awesome Batman: Arkham Asylum has again been delayed to later this year. Batman: Arkham City is no doubt one of the most highly anticipated titles of 2011, largly due to the fantastic sucess of or its predecessor.

Arkham City

Batman: Arkam Asylum just made all the right moves at all the right times. A classic video game! Rocksteady Games mixed in a hero, a villan – make that a bucket load of very unreasonable villans, awesome weaponry, and fuck off forearms. What came out was a game that was unexpectedly awesome, which is the best kind. Like nailing your first fatty, always better than expected (dont roll your eyes at that, we have all bagged a fatty in our time). There have been more than a couple of delays to date so far, most recently we were told we could expect to see this one on our shelves October 3rd.  This has now been pushed back to October 18th 2011 at the earliest.  I think if what I have already heard before is even half true.

Its OK to admit that you so would

Arkham City will be more than worth the wait.  We can expect a whole new cast of charactors from the Batman universe.  Plus some improved gameplay and weapons to keep you interested.  Keep your eyes right here on Rebel Gaming and we’ll keep you updated all the way to release date. In the mean time, check out the latest trailer from Warner bros here.

Now, all this Batman talk has given me a serious appetite for the Dark Knight. Im off to replay Arkham Asylum. See you in a few hours.

This game has some serious shoes to fill. Arkham asylum was a new and refreshing take on the stealty action platform, far removed from the splinter cell days. This was done so simpley with the introduction of the button mashing beat em up, Smashing the granny of the painted faced villains and some nice pre loaded silent take downs.

I am happy to wait a further 2 weeks for this game, as long as it lives up to the hype!
