On October 27, 2015, Halo 5: Guardians was released on the Xbox One, it was developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios and is on Xbox Game Pass. Halo 5: Guardians standard price is $19.99 but with Xbox Game Pass this game and many others are available to you for just $9.99 per month.
Halo 5: Guardians plot follows 2 fireteams of Spartans one led by Master Chief as he tracks down Cortana and the other led by Spartan Locke who is hunting down Master Chief as they question his loyalty. Like its predecessors, this game is also a first person shooter where its campaign has you fighting off waves of enemies trying to make it through each mission. The campaign is on the shorter side but is another decent installment.
Where the campaign lacks a bit the games strongest point is definitely its online play. With numerous game modes and maps and an intense multiplayer game mode, this game really makes it mark even years after release as a game that’s definitely worthy of play and can still find matches relatively fast. You can do everything from customizing your Spartans appearance to playing on custom maps and matches with your friends to playing ranked, giving you options to keep you coming back to the game no matter what mood you are in.
In conclusion, I have to say this is another pretty good game on Xbox Game Pass. Its weakest point is its campaign which is still decent, but its multiplayer causes it to stand out and still makes it worthy of play. Overall I would rate this game a 7/10. It’s definitely worth having Xbox Game Pass for the other Halo fans out there like myself
